Cina Muslim Tak Haram Rayakan Imlek PDF Cetak E-mail

Jakarta | Tokoh Nahdlatul Ulama KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) menyatakan, orang keturunan Tionghoa atau Cina yang beragama Islam tidak haram merayakan Imlek. Dalam dialog "Living in Harmony the Chinese Heritage in Indonesia" yang digelar menyambut Hari Imlek di Jakarta, Rabu (30/1), Gus Dur meyakini Imlek merupakan perayaan budaya, bukan keagamaan.

 

"Imlek itu perayaan tani," kata mantan presiden yang kini menjabat ketua umum Dewan Syura Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa tersebut. Gus Dur sendiri mengaku memiliki aliran darah Cina dalam tubuhnya. Darah Cina itu mengalir dari Putri Campa yang menjadi selir Raja Majapahit Brawijaya V, yang silsilahnya sampai pada dirinya.

 

Namun, bukan karena alasan itu dirinya mengizinkan perayaan Imlek secara luas ketika menjabat presiden, melainkan demi menjaga pluralitas Indonesia. Lagi pula, kata Gus Dur, budaya Cina sudah banyak mewarnai budaya-budaya di Tanah Air, salah satunya budaya Betawi. [gtr/el/ant]
